Quality Firearm for the Cost Bought this rifle last year for the week long controlled deer hunt in mid November and couldn't be happier with how it performed. For my set up, I added a pic rail and paired it with a Bushnell Banner 3-9x50 scope and sighted in 1.5" high at 50yds running 100gr of Triple 7 pellets behind a Hornady 300gr .45 cal sabot. The shorter overall length made it easier to move through thicker bush during pushes, although I had to be mindful of the ram rod getting pulled out after nearly losing it ducking under some branches. The accuracy of this rifle is spot on and it accounted for three of our groups deer including a buck shot at 175 yards. The breach plug made for easy cleaning after firing and because it only takes your fingers to remove I didn't need to have a pocket full of tools when in the field.
