Orzo is the Italian word for “barley”, also known as “risoni.” It is a tiny rice-shaped pasta. In the past, it was made from barley, but today orzo is made from wheat semolina. It can be found in the pasta section where it is often confused with risotto. This beautiful tiny pasta is often added to soups and many other dishes.

Add boiling water, mix well and seal bag. Let stand for 15-18 min., stirring once or twice.

Empty the contents of the bag in a big insulated bowl or a pot. Add boiling water, mix well and cover. Let stand for 15-18 min., stirring once or twice.

STOVE PREPARATION 

In a pot, combine the cold water and the contents of the bag. Mix well. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 min. Cover, remove from heat and let stand for 10-12 min.

Ideally, consume within 3 years from the date of manufacture.
