The Sub-2000 is a semi-automatic pistol carbine that is foldable for easy storage. The Sub-2000 breaks down at the barrel and allows it to be rotated upwards and back to reduce its footprint to 18.5″x 7″ for ease of storage and transport. The Sub-2000 is mostly made of an impact modified glass reinforced Zytel polymer, providing great rigidity and durability.

This new 2nd generation of the Sub-2000 comes with a competely new front sight, receiver, handguard and stock. An AR-style front post represents a significant improvement from the older blade sight and comes with windage and elevation adjustments. The receiver has been completely redesigned and now sports a sleeker, more ergonomic look and feel.

The new handguard is considerably thinner and comes with integrated top and bottom rails molded right into it. Five M-Lok holes are provided on either side of the handguard for additional accessory rails if desired. Kel-Tec’s unique square-ish grip texture are noticeable on the receiver and handguard. The stock is now 3-point adjustable and provides some new sling loop points, as well as a molded picatinny rail for addition sling mounting options.

The Sub-2000 features a push-bolt safety located behind the trigger on the grip assembly. The bolt can be locked in the rear position by cycling the bolt to the rear and rotating the operating handle up into the cutout on the receiver. The thread protector is removable and compatible with accessories threaded at 1/2″-28 for the 9mm model.

This model is chambered in 9mm and configured for use with Glock 17 magazines or compatible 3rd party ones.
